BEST OF BREED: CROSSLEY'S SANTOSHA CARTE NOIR

I really enjoyde judging your Shih Tzus. However, a few major faults are getting into the breed; lack of spring of rib, very long backs and narrow skulls and flat tails. Try to keep the breed characteristics of this happy breed.

Minor Puppy Dog
1st: MANNINGS' HUXLOR BUFFALO BILL Golod sable and white, shown in superb coat. Lovely headpiece, excellent neck and shoulders. Good topline, moves well and enjoyed his day.
2nd: BILLSON'S CHANIKOS LOOK OF LOVE Black and white with good  breed type and a most pleasing shape. Not, as yet, the substance of the winner, but as yet a mere baby who showed well on the day
3rd: GRIERSON'S WHISPERS IN GOLD AT BRIENTA

Puppy Dog
1st: CROSSLEY'S YAKEE DIAMOND GEEZER AT SANTOSHA One of the most exciting Shih Tzua I have judged for a long time. He is totally exquisite and I would not change him in any way. I know he is very young, but he was a clear winner and I was pleased to award him the CC, I shall follow his progress witn interest.
2nd: DOLPHIN'S DOLHA'S DAYDREAM BELIEVER A really classical head piece, loved his shape overall but was so naughty on the move. He  was enjoying himself, not nearly as mature as the winner but itall there in the right places for when it comes.

1st: EASDON & MARTIN'S SANTOSHA HIJACKED FOR YAKEE Clean sable who could be a touch more masculine. Excellent head and the darkest of eye, Liked his sound front, good topline and strong rear. Really comes into his own on the move, and he is really exhuberant.
2nd: BELL & TURRELL'S HARROPINE CHICO TIME AT BELLWAYCHARM
3rd: BRADBURY'S SHANTRIONNA SEVENTH HEAVEN Liked his type and was shown in full coat, which was superbly presented. Tail a little flat, used his quarters and I liked his size. Not the freedom of movement of the winner, but he is very sound fore and aft.
