I found a great variation in size, particularly among the males. To get correct mouths is not easy but found a number were wry.They should never have awards This time of year is not helpful for coats & some exhibits were not at their best There were quite a number of flat tails, which does take away one of the important characteristics of this special breed. At the present time Thailand & Brazil are producing top class Shih Tzu. Perhaps with ‘global showing" fast becoming the norm we shall see some competing here? Thank you for an interesting & enjoyable day with a breed that will continue to fascinate the perfectionists. Always a challenge for there is so much important detail that goes into making the ideal Shih Tzu. .As I have generalised on how I found the breed, my notes on the individual winners are brief.
