My how this breed has changed!
Whatever is happening to it. In general terms, heads too small, skulls not round
but fairly flat with the hair back combed to give the appearance of a round
skull! To get the expression I seek you have to have squareness in muzzle, that
slight tip tiltedness, a good nose with wide nostrils & eyes which are fairly
large, round, no white showing & of course a decent length of coat
Narrowness in chest is also a problem, over long loins & the hindquarters vary
from being almost Chow like to being over angulated, with hindquarters which
proportionately would do well in a GSD. And flnally while I am being critical,
the strong, well weighted bone is not as common as it once was.

This chap has excellent action side on, really driving himself & on the up & down so sound. 1 has the better eye spacing, they are larger & that bit more typical in expression. But this chap also has a wonderfully sized head, not coarse but totally masculine, lovely backskull, very good ears, strongly boned, lovely ribcage. In heavy coat he certainly has style & presence |

Quite beautiful in head, real Shih Tzu expression, glorious eyes, well placed ears, lovely arched neck, nothing I would change in her construction, coat and presentation were superb, tail carriage and set were just what I was looking for, here moved out totally as I would have wanted, but in the challenge she was a little wayward, like a naughty child really, but when challenging for the Rcc I just could not resist her. Just 13 months I would venture to suggest that she is a future group winner. |

I know what I would change about her, but this was her day & I was thrilled to learn that this win makes her up |
