| I would like to thank the Welks committee for allowing me to officiate at their show. It was a wonderful and memorable occasion, which I enjoyed very much on a lovely spring if at times a little breezy day, in an outside ring, which was quite uneven in places but coped with quite well by most exhibitors. Thanks go also to my stewards Mr & Mrs Donovan who done their duties with the utmost efficiency and kept exhibitors totally enthralled and supplied with Polo’s and up to date with what was going on, with humour, and very audible commands, which at times can be quite difficult at times in an outside ring. This helped to create a good atmosphere around the ring, and all my decisions taken in a good light and with generous applause. I was also very pleased with the excellent entry and would like to thank all exhibitors for their entry and being there on the day, some travelling long distances. Overall I found the breed in quite good condition, but feel there is not enough thought going into mouths and structure when breeding is considered. These are two aspects which I feel can be improved on i.e badly undershot mouths and lacking barrel. MIN PUPPY - Dog |

A head of outstanding quality,broad skull,strong jaw,correct stop,excellent mouthand level topline.On the move he flowed over the grass like silk,with drive both front and rear. I was amazed to learn later how long it had been since he last had top honours.Very pleased and honoured to award him CC. |

On the table, magnificent topline, head and expression to die for, eye`s like black jewels, a mouth and jaw of perfection, sound bone structure. A bitch very much very much of the old type and moved likewise. She moved with a swagger that is long gone and flowed around ring has if on a dance floor, not on a very uneven surface. I think the only thing that has held this bitch back, is it’s colour i.e. Solid Grey, but it shouldn’t have done so. I feel all the things I have said, should have overcome this and colour should not matter. After all it is what is underneath the coat that matters. So it was for these reasons that I was very pleased to award it CC and BOB |
