My thanks to the officers and committee for inviting me to judge my first Shih Tzu club show – it is always a privilege to judge at a club show. The majority of exhibits had typical heads and good pigment. Mouths were mixed, as was conformation, leg length and overall proportions; however, I was very pleased with all four who took the top awards, and there were several others whom I liked very much.

1 Bellwaycharm Heavenly Wun at Ragabbey very glamorous, heavily coated 11 months g/w parti, full of type and quality, pleasing head, sweet yet arrogant expression, lovely dark eyes, excellent bite and pigment, well made fore and aft, ample bone, firm topline, nicely balanced outline kept on the move, good reach and drive, lovely head carriage and ring presence, superbly presented. 1 Just Tom at Monschau quality g/w of ideal size, shape, type and balance, pleasing head and expression, dark eyes, good pigmentation, plenty of underjaw, so soundly made which showed on the move, firm topline, good carriage and style, lovely junior coat well presented, just needs a little more confidence to complete the picture. 2 Keytor Fool No More very glamorously coated pale g/w, different shape, make and leg length to 1, good pigment, dark eyes, pleasing tail set, immaculate presentation

Novice Dog (2)
1 Sparkey's Magic Flute typy b/w, liked his size and balance, sturdily made, inbetween coat but of good texture, lovely free striding side gait, well schooled and presented
2 Shirmin Mollie's Secret , typy gold, typical head, eyes placed well apart, liked his size and overall balance, needs more confidence, which improved in the next class.

1 Bakalo Bust My Buttons typy b/w, pleasing head and expression, well made fore and aft, firm topline, nice lift to tail, well balanced outline, ample bone, moved freely with good reach, good coat texture;
2 Seadog The Lion In Winter typy b/w, well boned, good proportions, out of coat today, moved confidently.

1 Harropine Chico Time at Bellwaycharm beautifully presented g/w, attractive head, arrogant yet sweet expression, lovely dark eyes, excellent pigmentation, good underjaw, good head carriage, different balance to my other winners, a little higher on leg and shorter in back, firm topline, moved and handled well

1 Santosha Yours Truly at Lauramist very typy, masculine red/white, what a character, so much ring presence, sturdily made, so well boned, good head carriage, firm topline, superb tailset and carriage, excellent quarters which he used typically on the move.

1 Bakalo Bewitched 6 months b/w, very feminine yet sturdy baby, typical head, eyes could be a bit larger, well balanced body, soundly made, short legs, won this class on her free movement with good reach and drive
2 Keytor Love Song for Essvana , feminine r/w, slightly higher on leg but liked her overall proportions, arrogant head carriage, firm topline, lovely high tail set and carriage, still needs to develop in forechest, not the drive of 1;
