G4 was the top notch Shih Tzu, Ch Tameron Mr Kenzo, masculine with excellent lines & balance, has a most lovely head, well appointed large dark & most expressive eyes, sturdy & compact with correct tail & carriage, sound in action showing pad, quality texture coat. Being picky, a little more feathering on the tail would just have completed the overall picture.

I was very pleased with my top placings, in some of the mature classes in both dogs and bitches the top three could change place on another day. On the minus side I was disappointed in the expressions of our delightful breed, where has the beautiful oriental expression gone to in our bitches. Many of the dogs had coarse heads and in the bitches flat face’s lacking in a tilt of nose with no stop, also many lacking in chin that is so necessary in the Shih Tzu. I was disappointed with the bad mouths, jumbled teeth or four in front and two behind especially in the young stock, which I do not expect from some of the top kennels. I know a Shih Tzu does not ‘walk on its head’ but if one has equally nice puppies in a class then this has to be penalised. Having said all that on the plus side presentation is excellent, I was very pleased with my CC winners, also to see my BOB go Group 4.
